Ozarks Community Hospital (OCH) has announced the addition of Dr. K. Jake Sample to its medical team, serving the communities of Gravette and Decatur, Arkansas. Dr. Sample is an Internal Medicine physician with a focus on patient-centered care.

Dr. Sample began his academic journey at the University of Memphis, earning a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He then worked as a researcher at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital before pursuing his medical degree at St. George’s University School of Medicine. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Tennessee.

Specializing in Internal Medicine, Primary Care, and Hospital Medicine, Dr. Sample treats patients aged 18 and older, offering services from routine primary care to chronic condition management and hospital care.

Dr. Sample emphasizes holistic patient care: “It is always my goal for the patient to leave feeling heard, secure, and truly cared for.” He considers his work a ministry: “I’m just so grateful to be blessed with the opportunity and ability to treat people.”

His approach is influenced by Dr. Albert Fonticiella from Arkansas Methodist Medical Center, who mentored him during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Now residing in Northwest Arkansas with his family, Dr. Sample practices four days a week at OCH Decatur Clinic and one day at OCH Gravette Clinic.

“I’m excited to make connections and memories here at OCH,” says Dr. Sample.

For appointments with Dr. Sample, contact OCH Decatur Clinic or The OCH Gravette Clinic.
