Before joining Congress, he was a member of both the Missouri House of Representatives from 2009 to 2017 and the Missouri Senate from 2019 to 2023. Born in Springfield in 1976 and currently residing in Ozark, Burlison graduated twice from Missouri State University—first earning a BA in 2000 and then another degree in 2002.
