The Missouri State men's soccer team played to a 0-0 draw against the Tulsa Golden Hurricanes on Wednesday night in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Both teams now have 10 points each in the American Conference standings with one match remaining. Only the top six teams will move on to the conference tournament.

Neither side managed a shot on goal during the first half, as both defenses held strong. Missouri State's Alex Matthews and Jarod Harlock each had attempts that missed the target before halftime.

After the break, Missouri State increased its offensive pressure. Senior Ollie Bate produced the game's first shot on goal, but Tulsa goalkeeper Carlito Saylon made the save. Tulsa responded with a chance of its own in the 55th minute, but Bears goalkeeper Will Lowry stopped Will Applegate’s attempt.

Freshman Harry Hogben tested Saylon again for Missouri State in the 70th minute, but was denied. In return, Tulsa's Luke Adams forced another key save from Lowry late in the second half.

Missouri State's final opportunity came just before full time when Daniele Verdirosi's shot was stopped by Saylon as time expired. The match ended scoreless after 90 minutes.

Missouri State outshot Tulsa 9-7 and had three shots on goal compared to Tulsa’s two. The Bears also earned six corner kicks while Tulsa had four.

Head Coach Michael Seabolt commented: "Congrats to the team tonight on getting a road result as Tulsa is always a tough opponent. Tulsa played the first half very well and the guys responded strongly in the second half, creating opportunities to score."

Missouri State will host Charlotte at Betty & Bobby Allison South Stadium for their regular season finale and American Conference matchup on Sunday, Nov. 2 at 6:00 p.m., which will also feature senior day celebrations for graduating players. Admission is free for all fans.
