Citizens Memorial Hospital, along with Osceola Medical Center and El Dorado Springs Medical Center, has announced the addition of Jeremy Hicks, LMSW, to its medical staff. Hicks will provide counseling services for patients aged 8 and older at Osceola Medical Center.
Hicks will also offer school-based counseling at El Dorado Springs Public Schools through a partnership between Citizens Memorial Healthcare (CMH) and the school district. This program allows students up to 12th grade to receive on-site therapy during regular school hours, with after-school appointments available as well.
According to the announcement, “He helps students with a variety of concerns, including depression, anxiety, grief/loss, behavioral issues, including aggression, defiance, ADHD, anger issues, acting out/risky behaviors, suicidal thoughts/self-harm, substance use and bullying.”
Hicks brings more than 13 years of experience in social work. His previous roles include serving as a children’s service worker and social services unit manager for the Missouri Department of Social Services Children’s Division. He has also worked as a youth program specialist at the Missouri West-Central Region Workforce Development Board.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in social education from the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg and a master’s degree in social work with a clinical concentration from the University of Missouri in Columbia.
