Justin Johns joins CMH Addiction Recovery Program staff

Citizens Memorial Hospital in Bolivar has announced the addition of Justin Johns, a licensed clinical social worker with over 12 years of counseling experience, to its Addiction Recovery Program. He joins the team alongside medical director Kurt Bravata, Kelly Watson, and Courtney Brummel.

Johns has an extensive background in mental health services, having worked as a clinician and substance use assessment specialist at Missouri State University's Counseling Center in Springfield. He also held a position as a licensed clinical social worker at Serenity Therapy Services in Bolivar and most recently served as associate director at Missouri State University’s Academic Advising and Transfer Center.

Johns holds both a bachelor's degree in psychology and a master's degree in social work from Missouri State University. His expertise covers treating behavioral health issues including substance use disorder, addiction, psychotherapy, and providing identity-affirming supportive counseling for patients aged 16 and older.

The CMH Addiction Recovery Program is designed to assist individuals recovering from substance use and alcohol issues through specialized outpatient treatment aimed at achieving physical and psychosocial wellness.
