James Liesen, D.O., has rejoined Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) Pediatric Clinic and the CMH medical staff. Dr. Liesen holds a medical degree from Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine in Downers Grove, Illinois. He completed his residency at the University of Missouri Hospitals and Clinics in Columbia and an internship at Presbyterian St. Luke’s Hospital in Denver.

Dr. Liesen brings over 25 years of experience as a pediatrician and is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics. His background also includes service as a medical officer with the U.S. Air Force.

At the CMH Pediatric and Walk-In Clinic in Bolivar, Dr. Liesen joins pediatricians Shannon L. Calvert, M.D., Katherine Davis, M.D., Jeffrey R. Frerking, M.D., along with nurse practitioners Katie Johnson, CPNP-NP, and Ashley Carpenter, NP-C.

Dr. Liesen will provide care for patients from birth through age 18, covering well-baby and well-child checkups, asthma and allergy management, behavioral health support, developmental tracking, as well as treatment for various illnesses and injuries. The clinic offers additional services such as newborn care, minor wound care, school and sports physicals, and vaccinations through the Vaccines for Children (VFC) program.
