Citizens Memorial Hospital is organizing a free online men’s health seminar at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, November 12. The event will be led by Dr. Mark Walterskirchen, a board-certified urologist from the CMH Urology Surgical Clinic in Bolivar.

The focus of the webinar will be Aquablation therapy, which is described as a minimally invasive treatment for benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), also known as enlarged prostate. BPH commonly affects men over the age of 50 and can result in symptoms such as frequent urination, weak urine stream, urgency, or incomplete bladder emptying.

According to Citizens Memorial Hospital, it is among the first hospitals in the region to provide Aquablation therapy. This procedure uses a robotically controlled waterjet to remove excess prostate tissue without applying heat.

The hospital states that attendees can participate live, ask questions privately, and join from their homes. Partners and guests are invited to attend as well.

Registration is required for participation. Those interested can sign up or get more information at cmhbolivar.info/Webinar1112.

The CMH Urology Surgical Clinic operates out of the Kerry & Synda Douglas Medical Center at 1155 W. Parkview St., Suite 2C, Bolivar. For further details, individuals may call 417-326-2550.
