The Citizens Memorial Hospital Auxiliary is organizing a nut and candy fundraiser on October 27 and 28. The event will take place on the second floor of the Kerry & Synda Douglas Medical Center at 1155 W. Parkview St. in Bolivar. The hours for the sale are from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on October 27, and from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on October 28.

The fundraiser will offer a selection of nuts, chocolate, and candies for purchase. Proceeds from the event will go to the CMH Auxiliary and help fund special projects at Citizens Memorial Hospital.

The CMH Auxiliary is made up of around 300 volunteers who collectively contribute more than 28,000 hours each year. Their roles include staffing information desks and organizing fundraising activities. Over the past year, the auxiliary donated over $89,000 to Citizens Memorial Hospital for items that improve patient care.
