Missouri State University's men's soccer team secured a 1-0 win over Memphis on Saturday night in Springfield. The only goal of the match came early in the second half, with senior Harry Jolley scoring off a corner kick from junior Adrian Esteban. This marked Jolley's first goal of the season and Esteban's third assist.

The match began with both teams evenly matched, and few scoring chances were created in the first half. Memphis' Saad Chaouki managed the first shot on goal in the 41st minute, but Missouri State's senior goalkeeper Jonothan Kliewer made the save. Kliewer finished the match with two saves, earning another clean sheet following his previous performance against Drake.

Senior James Jennings attempted a shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but Memphis goalkeeper Filip Sabatti kept the score level.

The decisive moment came in the 52nd minute when Jolley headed in Esteban's corner kick. After the match, Jolley said, "Obviously I'm delighted for the goal but more so for the winning team performance. We knew it was going to be tough playing against them, but we knew we had to be patient and focused for 90 minutes and ultimately that's what we did."

Missouri State maintained their lead throughout the second half. In the 87th minute, Memphis' Adam Aboohamidi tried to equalize, but Kliewer made another save.

The Bears outshot Memphis 7-4, with three shots on target. Missouri State also had 10 corner kicks compared to Memphis' two.

Head Coach Michael Seabolt expressed his satisfaction with the team's defensive effort, stating, "I'm really proud of the guys to get a clean sheet tonight. That was awesome as they stayed patient."

Missouri State will continue American Conference play at Tulsa on Wednesday evening before finishing the regular season at home against Charlotte on Sunday, Nov. 2.
