The Missouri State women's golf team ended its fall season with a new school record, posting a nine-under-par 279 in the final round of the Diamante Intercollegiate at Diamante Country Club in Hot Springs Village, Arkansas. This performance moved the Bears up three places in the team standings, finishing seventh out of 18 teams with a total score of 872 over three rounds. The team's scores for the first two rounds were 296 and 297.
Junior Coyee Zhang and freshman Chloe Bolte led the team on the final day, shooting rounds of 66 and 67, respectively. Senior Kiser Pannier and junior Tierney Baumstark each shot a one-over 73, while sophomore Siena Minor finished with a 74. Zhang matched her personal best for a 54-hole tournament, recording rounds of 74, 72, and 66 for a total of 212, placing her sixth overall.
Bolte tied for 25th with scores of 73, 78, and 67 for a total of 218. Baumstark finished tied for 44th with rounds of 73, 75, and 73 (221 total). Pannier tied for 63rd with scores of 76, 76, and 73 (225 total), and Minor was one shot behind with rounds of 78, 74, and 74 (226 total).
Boston College won the team championship with a score of 836, finishing 28-under-par. Seattle placed second at 854, followed by Central Arkansas at 861. Other teams in the top ten included Ball State, Memphis, Lipscomb, Missouri State, Little Rock, California Baptist, and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.
The Bears will resume play in the spring season at the Great River Cup in Gulfport, Mississippi on February 16-17.
