Rep. Eric Burlison, a U.S. Congressman representing Missouri’s 7th district, addressed a range of topics in a series of posts on October 21, 2025, highlighting regional transportation efforts, ongoing government shutdown negotiations, and making a critical remark about a political figure.

In his first post of the day, Burlison commented on a local event: "It was great to visit with all the stakeholders at the annual Ozark Transportation Organization meeting. It’s encouraging to hear about all the positive projects happening in our region to improve transportation." (October 21, 2025).

Later, he addressed the ongoing federal government shutdown and negotiations in Congress: "Daily reminder that Senate Democrats can end the government shutdown at any time simply by voting for the clean CR that House Republicans passed four weeks ago." (October 21, 2025).

Burlison has served in Congress since 2023 after succeeding Billy Long and represents Missouri’s 7th district. Prior to his current role, he served in the Missouri House of Representatives from 2009 to 2017 and in the Missouri Senate from 2019 to 2023. Burlison was born in Springfield, Missouri, in 1976 and currently resides in Ozark. He is an alumnus of Missouri State University, where he earned degrees in 2000 and 2002.
