Junior Coyee Zhang led the Missouri State University Lady Bears Golf team in the second round of the Diamante Intercollegiate, held at Diamante Country Club in Hot Springs Village, Arkansas. Zhang, from Shenzhen, China, shot an even-par 72 on Monday and advanced 27 places on a day marked by strong winds and challenging pin placements. She now holds 24th place overall with one round remaining.

The Lady Bears improved their standing by moving up two spots after posting a team score of 297 for the day. Combined with Sunday's opening round of 296, Missouri State has a total score of 593 and is tied for 10th place alongside California Baptist and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.

Boston College leads the tournament after two rounds with a score of 561. Memphis follows in second at 573, while Central Arkansas and Ball State are tied for third at 574 among the field of 18 teams.

Other notable performances for Missouri State include junior Tierney Baumstark, who is currently second on her team and tied for 38th overall with rounds of 73 and 75 for a total of 148. Freshman Chloe Bolte is tied for 59th after shooting rounds of 73 and 78 (151). Senior Kiser Pannier (76-76) and sophomore Siena Minor (78-74) are both tied for 68th place.

The final round will begin Tuesday at 8:30 a.m., with the first Missouri State player scheduled to tee off at 9:39 a.m.
