Missouri State University's women's golf team began competition at the Diamante Intercollegiate tournament in Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, on Sunday. After the first round, the Lady Bears are in 12th place with a team score of 296.

Tierney Baumstark and Chloe Bolte led Missouri State by each shooting a one-over-par 73. Both golfers are tied for 37th overall in the tournament standings. Other contributors included junior Coyee Zhang, who finished with a 74, senior Kiser Pannier with a 76, and sophomore Siena Minor with a 78.

Boston College leads after the opening round with a score of 278. Memphis is in second place at 281, while Lipscomb and Ball State are tied for third at 282 among the field of eighteen teams.

The second round will begin Monday at 8:30 a.m., followed by the final round on Tuesday.
