Missouri State University Lady Bears soccer team will play their final home game of the 2025 season against Sam Houston on Sunday, October 19. The match is scheduled for 1 p.m. at Betty & Bobby Allison South Stadium in Springfield, Missouri.

The Bears enter the game with a 5-7-3 overall record and a 2-2-2 mark in Conference USA. Despite not having won at home this season (0-5-1), they have found success on the road, where their 5-2-2 record ties them for third nationally in road wins.

Their recent loss to Western Kentucky on October 12 ended a 24-match conference unbeaten streak that had lasted nearly three years. This run began during their time in the Missouri Valley Conference and continued into their first year competing in Conference USA.

Goalkeeper Ella Becker has started every match this season, playing 1,237 minutes—fifth most in Conference USA. She has made 52 saves (fourth in CUSA), has a .703 save percentage, a goals-against average of 1.60, and four shutouts, tying her for third place in the league.

Julia Kristensen leads the team with 13 points from five goals and three assists. She also leads with 34 shots and 17 shots on goal (.500 shot accuracy), ranking fifth in Conference USA for shot accuracy. Kristensen holds the program’s single-season assist record (13 set in 2024) and is third all-time with both 21 career assists and 49 total points. She is close to moving up these rankings with just three more assists or four more points.

Abby Hansen follows with ten points from three goals and a team-high four assists. Hansen ranks first both in Conference USA and nationally for penalty kick conversions (1-for-1). Brooke Cattoor also has six points from three goals—including one penalty—and shares the top spot nationally for penalty kick conversions (1-for-1).

Reilly Heman has nine points from three goals and three assists, as well as being among team leaders with her number of shots taken this season. Maggie O’Keefe has seven points from three goals and one assist, while Emma Shields has contributed five points from two goals and one assist; Shields also leads the team with two game-winning goals this season.

Missouri State averages 1.33 goals per game while limiting opponents to a .143 shooting percentage. The Bears have been outshot by opponents but continue to create offensive opportunities, recording 64 corner kicks so far this year.

Admission to Sunday’s match is free as part of Green Game/Mental Health Awareness promotions.
