The Missouri State men's golf team finished in seventh place at the Turtle Point Invitational held at Turtle Point Yacht & Country Club in Killen, Alabama, on Tuesday, October 14. The Bears began the final round tied for fourth but dropped in the standings after recording a team score of 313, bringing their tournament total to 895.

Host team North Alabama won the event with a score of 842, finishing ahead of Southeastern Louisiana, which posted 862. Samford secured third place with 870, while North Alabama's "B" team finished fourth at 873. Evansville and New Orleans tied for fifth with scores of 881 in the 11-team field.

Junior Owen Swearingen led Missouri State, tying for 28th place individually after rounds of 73, 74, and 73 for a total score of 220. Seniors Christian Rischer and Tim Holmberg both finished tied for 49th with totals of 225; Rischer shot rounds of 76, 70, and 79, while Holmberg carded 74, 69, and 82. Sophomores Andrew Fallis and Jonathan Jordan each finished with scores of 233, tying for 63rd. Fallis recorded rounds of 74, 73, and 86, and Jordan posted scores of 75, 79, and 79.

The Bears will not compete next week and will conclude their fall season by hosting the Missouri State Intercollegiate on October 27-28.
