The Missouri State men's golf team is currently in fourth place after the first day of the Turtle Point Invitational at the Turtle Point Yacht & Country Club in Killen, Alabama. The team recorded scores of 296 and 286 for a total of 582 on Monday. Missouri State trails North Alabama, Southeastern Louisiana, and Samford, and is tied with Evansville and North Alabama's "B" squad going into the final round.

North Alabama leads the 11-team field with a combined score of 554 after two rounds.

Senior Tim Holmberg is leading the Bears, having posted rounds of 74 and 69 for a one-under-par total of 143, placing him in a tie for 16th place. Senior Christian Rischer is tied for 34th with rounds of 76 and 70, totaling 146. Junior Owen Swearingen and sophomore Andrew Fallis are one shot behind Rischer, each with totals of 147. Sophomore Jonathan Jordan is in 64th place after scoring 75 and 79 for a total of 154.

The final round is scheduled to begin Tuesday at 9 a.m. with a shotgun start.
