Missouri State University's women's soccer team will host Western Kentucky University on Sunday, October 12, at 1 p.m. at the Betty & Bobby Allison South Stadium in Springfield, Missouri. The match marks Senior Day for the Bears and is part of a four-game homestand.

Admission to the game is free as part of the Senior Day promotions. The Bears currently have an overall record of 5-5-3 and are unbeaten in Conference USA play with a 2-0-2 record. Western Kentucky comes into the matchup with a 6-4-2 overall record and a 3-0-1 mark in conference play.

Missouri State has not yet secured a home win this season, holding a home record of 0-3-1. However, the team has found success on the road with five wins, which ties them for second nationally in road victories this season.

The last meeting between these teams occurred on September 23, 2005, when Missouri State defeated Western Kentucky 2-1 on the road. This gives Missouri State a 1-0 advantage in the all-time series.

The Bears have extended their unbeaten streak in conference matches to 24 games; their last conference loss was on October 23, 2022, against Illinois State.

Goalkeeper Ella Becker has started every match for Missouri State this season, playing over one thousand minutes and making fifty saves along with four shutouts. Abby Hansen leads the team in points with ten from three goals and four assists. Julia Kristensen follows closely with nine points; she also holds Missouri State's single-season assist record and ranks third all-time for career assists at the university.

Other key contributors include Reilly Heman with seven points (two goals and three assists), Brooke Cattoor and Maggie O'Keefe each scoring three goals, Emma Shields adding two goals—including two game-winners—and several players providing additional assists throughout the season.

Statistically, Missouri State averages just over one goal per game while allowing opponents a shooting percentage of .127. Although they have been outshot by their opponents this season (158 to 135), they hold an edge in corner kicks (53 to 24).
