U.S. Representative Eric Burlison, who serves Missouri’s 7th district, has used his social media platform to express strong opinions on the federal government, Democratic leadership, and healthcare policy in a series of posts published between October 9 and October 10, 2025.

On October 9, Burlison advocated for reducing the size of the federal government, stating: "Permanently shrinking the federal government shouldn't be an empty threat. We should capitalize on this opportunity to finish what @DOGE started and decimate the administrative state."

Later that day, he criticized Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and Democratic priorities with another post: "Chuck Schumer's comments say it all: Democrats are more interested in approval polls than the interests of the American people."

On October 10, Burlison addressed healthcare reform and praised legislation introduced by fellow Republican Gary Palmer. He wrote: "Government control made healthcare a mess. @USRepGaryPalmer’s bill shows how the free market can work for patients. When people have real choices, nobody’s sticking with Obamacare."

Burlison has represented Missouri’s 7th congressional district since 2023 after succeeding Billy Long. Prior to his current role in Congress, he served in both chambers of Missouri’s state legislature—from 2009 to 2017 in the House of Representatives and from 2019 to 2023 in the Senate. He was born in Springfield, Missouri in 1976 and resides in Ozark. Burlison is an alumnus of Missouri State University, where he earned both undergraduate and graduate degrees.
