National Baseball Hall of Fame inductee and former Kansas City Royals player George Brett will be the featured guest at Missouri State University’s “Step Up to the Plate” event. The fundraiser, presented by Loren Cook Company, is set for Thursday, December 4 at Old Glass Place in Springfield.

The event marks the sixth year for the Bears’ fundraising dinner. Activities will include live and silent auctions. Doors open at 5 p.m., with dinner beginning at 6 p.m., followed by a program that features a question-and-answer session with Brett. A cash bar will also be available.

Proceeds from the evening will go to support the Missouri State baseball program. Tickets are available in three tiers: $1,200 per table for center section seating (tables of 10), $900 per table for side section seating (tables of eight), and $800 per table for seats furthest from the stage (tables of eight). Individual tickets can be purchased for $100 each. Walk-up or day-of-event ticket sales are not offered.

All attendees may participate in a group photo with Brett; however, he will not sign autographs during the event.

Tickets can be purchased online through MissouriStateTix at this link.
