Rep. Eric Burlison, a U.S. Congressman representing Missouri’s 7th district, shared several posts on his official social media account on October 9, 2025, addressing topics ranging from personal tributes to federal spending and healthcare policy.
In a post published at 14:17 UTC, Burlison wrote, "Charlie always had his finger on the pulse. RIP to a true patriot who saw it clearly."
Later that day, at 15:41 UTC, Burlison commented on ongoing government funding negotiations. He posted, “So you want to fund the government for just six weeks?” “That’s right.” “But Dems won’t let you do that unless you give Medicaid to illegals.” “Correct.” “That’s Medicaid for illegal aliens?” “Yes.” “While you have $37 trillion in debt?” “That’s correct Dave.”
At 20:09 UTC, Burlison turned his attention to healthcare reform and the Affordable Care Act, stating, "Democrats were warned that Obamacare would fail, and now they are holding the government hostage to keep it on life support. We need real reform, not more taxpayer dollars to subsidize a broken system."
Burlison has served in Congress since 2023, representing Missouri’s 7th district after succeeding Billy Long. Before joining Congress, he served in the Missouri House of Representatives from 2009 to 2017 and in the Missouri Senate from 2019 to 2023. Burlison, who was born in Springfield, Missouri in 1976 and currently resides in Ozark, holds degrees from Missouri State University earned in 2000 and 2002.
