Rep. Eric Burlison, U.S. Congressman representing Missouri’s 7th district, posted a series of statements on September 30, 2025, criticizing Democratic policies on healthcare and government spending.
In his first post at 14:39 UTC, Burlison wrote, "Democrats are in denial about the cost of healthcare. Obamacare is a failure. Real reform will make healthcare affordable for Americans, not provide handouts to illegal aliens."
Later that day at 15:40 UTC, he continued his critique by stating, "Democrats built a broken healthcare system. Stop taxpayer-funded abortions, show patients the true costs, and slash bureaucratic barriers for insurers."
Addressing fiscal negotiations in Congress at 18:54 UTC, Burlison added, "House Republicans passed a clean continuing resolution. Democrats are demanding $1.5 trillion in radical new spending. That’s not a serious negotiation."
Burlison has represented Missouri’s 7th District in the U.S. Congress since 2023 after succeeding Billy Long. He previously served in both chambers of the Missouri legislature between 2009 and 2023 and was born in Springfield, Missouri in 1976 before settling in Ozark. Burlison holds two degrees from Missouri State University.
