Missouri State University's men's soccer team lost 4-0 to the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Blazers in an American Conference match held in Birmingham, Alabama, on Saturday night. The Bears now hold a record of 3-3-2 overall and 1-2-0 in conference play, while UAB moves to 2-5-1 overall and 1-2-0 in the conference.
The Blazers established control early in the first half, scoring three goals within the opening 27 minutes—specifically in the 11th, 16th, and 27th minutes. Missouri State managed six shots during this period but did not convert any into goals.
UAB maintained its advantage throughout the second half. In the 76th minute, they scored again after a long assist from their goalkeeper, extending their lead to four goals.
Despite outshooting UAB with a total of 21 attempts—five of which were on target—the Bears were unable to score. Missouri State also led in corner kicks with 19 compared to UAB's three. The Blazers had eight shots overall, six of them on goal.
