Rep. Eric Burlison, a U.S. Congressman representing Missouri’s 7th district since 2023, used his social media platform on September 24, 2025, to make several statements concerning national politics and international relations.

In a post at 14:36 UTC, Burlison addressed ongoing budget negotiations in Congress, writing, "Democrats are threatening a government shutdown. Republicans cannot cave. We’re not funding their radical agenda. @mattgaetz".

Later that day at 17:23 UTC, Burlison commented on the United States' relationship with the United Nations: "It’s time for America to pull out of this racket. The UN pushes a globalist agenda and expects us to bankroll it. Enough is enough."

At 18:36 UTC on the same day, Burlison referred to prior remarks made by Minnesota Governor Tim Walz regarding Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), stating: "In June, I pressed Gov. Walz for calling ICE a ‘modern-day Gestapo.’ This kind of rhetoric is unhinged and dangerous. Today’s deadly attack is yet another example, as ICE attacks have skyrocketed. Burlison has been an active member of Congress since succeeding Billy Long in 2023 and previously served in both chambers of the Missouri legislature—from the House of Representatives (2009-2017) to the State Senate (2019-2023). Born in Springfield in 1976 and residing in Ozark, he holds degrees from Missouri State University.
