Citizens Memorial Hospital Pediatric Clinic will hold two drive-thru flu shot clinics for children from 6 months old through high school seniors. The clinics are scheduled for Tuesday, October 7, and Tuesday, October 14, between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. at 1195 N. Oakland Ave., Bolivar.

The clinics are open to all children in the age group, regardless of whether they are current patients of the CMH Pediatric Clinic or Citizens Memorial Hospital. Families planning to attend are asked to review pre-visit and drive-thru instructions before arrival.

At the event, parents and children must stay inside their vehicles while clinic staff provide instructions and administer the flu vaccine outside.

According to clinic guidelines, an adult or legal guardian must accompany anyone under age 18. Pets should not be present in vehicles during the visit. Parents are advised to dress children so that arms and legs can be accessed easily for vaccination; short-sleeved shirts or shorts/onesies are recommended for young children. Children should not eat or drink during vaccination, jackets should be removed before entering the line, and all children must remain secured in car seats or seatbelts in end seats only.

Upon arrival at the parking lot, families will follow signs into a drive-thru line where registration takes place before proceeding to receive vaccinations without leaving their vehicles unless instructed otherwise.
