Rep. Eric Burlison, a U.S. Congressman representing Missouri’s 7th district since 2023, posted several statements on social media on September 18, 2025, addressing issues ranging from healthcare subsidies to education and military anniversaries.

In a post made at 14:50 UTC, Burlison criticized the continuation of COVID-era health insurance subsidies, stating: "Joe Biden’s COVID-era Obamacare subsidies cost taxpayers $40 billion annually. Extending them past their expiration date will drive millions off employer coverage. Extending these subsidies should be a non-starter."

Later that day at 15:24 UTC, Burlison promoted an episode of his podcast while commenting on the state of American education: "Episode 53 of Fresh Freedom with @codyhirschi is now live. America’s schools are failing. Scores in math, reading, and science keep dropping. Burlison succeeded Billy Long in Congress after winning election in Missouri's 7th district in 2022. Before serving in Congress, he was a member of both the Missouri House of Representatives (2009-2017) and Missouri Senate (2019-2023). Born in Springfield in 1976 and currently residing in Ozark, Burlison holds two degrees from Missouri State University.
