Rep. Eric Burlison, who represents Missouri’s 7th district in the U.S. Congress, recently shared a series of posts on social media addressing fiscal policy, climate activism, and freedom of speech.

On September 16, 2025, Burlison stated his priorities for federal spending discussions: "My goal is to right-size government, cut spending, and steer our nation toward a balanced budget. Congress should share that goal as we discuss a new funding bill."

Later that day, he commented on environmental protests and referenced Christopher Martz’s data-driven approach: "While climate zealots glue themselves to asphalt, Mr. Christopher Martz grounded us with data."

On September 17, 2025, Burlison addressed issues related to free speech and legal regulation: "The idea of criminalizing speech runs counter to the principles of Charlie Kirk. We don't need new laws to regulate speech. That said, freedom of speech doesn't mean freedom from social or professional repercussions."

Burlison has represented Missouri’s 7th District in Congress since 2023 after succeeding Billy Long. Prior to his tenure in Congress, he served in the Missouri House of Representatives from 2009 to 2017 and the Missouri Senate from 2019 to 2023. Born in Springfield in 1976 and currently residing in Ozark at age 46, Burlison holds both undergraduate and graduate degrees from Missouri State University.
