Rep. Eric Burlison, a U.S. Congressman representing Missouri’s 7th district, posted a series of statements on his social media account between September 9 and 10, 2025, addressing congressional priorities, transparency in government, and offering support to a public figure.

On September 9, Burlison emphasized the importance of legislative productivity and public trust: "If Congress spent more time passing commonsense laws, it could rebuild trust with the very people it serves. It should be the standard."

Shortly after midnight on September 10, he commented on recent developments in government oversight: "An incredible day for truth, transparency, and the American people. @GOPoversight"

Later that same day, Burlison offered personal support to Charlie Kirk and his family: "Praying for Charlie Kirk and his family."

Burlison has represented Missouri’s 7th District in Congress since 2023 after succeeding Billy Long. Prior to his tenure in Congress, he served in both chambers of the Missouri legislature—first as a member of the House of Representatives from 2009 to 2017 and then as a state senator from 2019 to 2023. Born in Springfield in 1976 and currently residing in Ozark at age 46, Burlison is an alumnus of Missouri State University.
