Rep. Eric Burlison, U.S. Congressman representing Missouri’s 7th district, posted a series of statements on September 8, 2025, addressing issues ranging from fiscal policy to crime and congressional appropriations.

In his first post at 13:38 UTC, Burlison emphasized the priorities of his caucus: "Our commitment to fiscal responsibility, limited government, and pro-taxpayer policies remains unwavering. @freedomcaucus delivers results."

Later that day at 14:55 UTC, he criticized Democratic leadership in urban areas and expressed support for former President Trump’s approach to law enforcement: "Democrats have failed America’s cities—allowing murder and crime to run wild while pointing fingers at everyone but themselves. President Trump has proved that all it takes to restore safety is a willingness to enforce the law. Every city should follow suit."

At 16:48 UTC, Burlison commented on the legislative process in Congress, stating: "The appropriations process is broken because Congress allows it to be. It has devolved into a chaotic, deadline-dodging farce that prioritizes political theater over governance."

Burlison began serving in the U.S. Congress in 2023 after replacing Billy Long as representative for Missouri’s 7th district. He previously held seats in both the Missouri House of Representatives from 2009 to 2017 and the Missouri Senate from 2019 to 2023. Born in Springfield in 1976 and currently residing in Ozark, Burlison holds degrees from Missouri State University.
