Rep. Eric Burlison, a U.S. Congressman representing Missouri’s 7th district since 2023, has recently posted a series of statements on his official social media account regarding public safety, upcoming congressional hearings, and legislative efforts.

On September 2, 2025, Burlison commented on a recent intervention in Washington D.C., stating: "This intervention proves that strong, unapologetic action works. Americans don't need to live in fear in their own capital."

The following day, he announced an upcoming congressional hearing focused on Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP), writing: "UAP Hearing Announcement 9.9.25 // 10:00 AM EST 'Restoring Public Trust Through UAP Transparency and Whistleblower Protection' " This hearing is scheduled for September 9, 2025.

Later that same day, Burlison addressed issues related to drone privacy and self-defense measures. He stated: "Americans have the right to defend themselves, their privacy, and their property — including addressing unwanted drones with some birdshot diplomacy. The amendment didn’t pass, but I applaud @RepTimBurchett for standing up for common sense."

Burlison’s career in public service includes previous terms in the Missouri House of Representatives from 2009 to 2017 and the Missouri Senate from 2019 to 2023. He was born in Springfield, Missouri in 1976 and currently resides in Ozark. Burlison holds both undergraduate and graduate degrees from Missouri State University.
