Missouri State University's women's soccer team will travel to St. Louis to face the Saint Louis Billikens on Thursday, September 4, at Hermann Stadium. The match is scheduled for 6 p.m.

The Bears enter the contest with a 2-3-1 record this season, having secured both of their victories on the road against SIUE and SEMO. In their series history, Saint Louis leads Missouri State with a record of 13 wins, two losses, and six draws. Missouri State's only two wins in the series were both shutouts at home in 2005 and 2011. The most recent meeting between the teams ended in a 4-0 win for Saint Louis on August 29, 2024.

On offense, Abby Hansen has accumulated seven points this season through two goals and three assists. She had a notable performance against SIUE by assisting two goals and scoring one herself. Reilly Heman has also contributed with two goals and two assists, ranking second on the team with six points.

Brooke Cattoor has scored twice so far this year and successfully converted one of Missouri State's penalty attempts. Goalkeeper Ella Becker has started all six matches for the Bears, making 28 saves with a .737 save percentage and recording one clean sheet. Victoria Spahn made key contributions at SIUE by saving back-to-back penalties.

Julia Kristensen has added a goal and an assist while standing second on the team in shots taken (14) and shots on goal (8). Kristensen holds the program’s single-season assist record with 13 set in 2024 and ranks third all-time at Missouri State with 18 career assists.

This season, Missouri State averages 1.67 goals per game from an average of 11.3 shots per match while limiting opponents to a .134 shot percentage. The Bears have outscored opponents by one goal in first halves but have been outscored after halftime by two goals overall.

The coaching staff was recognized as MVC Coaching Staff of the Year following Missouri State’s first-ever MVC regular-season title last year. The team finished as the No. 1 seed and completed a two-year unbeaten streak in conference play spanning twenty matches since October 23, 2022.
