Shannon Wallace joins Dallas County Family Medical Center as nurse practitioner

Dallas County Family Medical Center and Walk-In Clinic has added Shannon Wallace, FNP-C, to its staff. Wallace has more than eight years of nursing experience. She previously worked as a floor nurse in the medical-surgical unit and as an operating room circulator at Citizens Memorial Hospital. Her most recent position was as a rooming nurse at Ozarks Community Health Center in Hermitage for two years.

Wallace holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Emporia State University in Emporia, Kansas, and a master’s degree in family nurse practitioner from Cox College in Springfield. She is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

She joins a team that includes Kristina Kaufmann, D.O.; Taylor Pedersen, D.O.; Kaylee Ankrom, FNP-C; Johnna Brothers, FNP-C; Krystal Colvin, FNP-BC; Gina Dill, DNP, FNP-C; R. David Hunziger, FNP-BC; Linzi Smith, FNP-C; and Cassie Viets, FNP-C.

In her new role at the walk-in clinic, Wallace will treat patients with acute conditions such as illness, injury, allergies, colds, coughs, flu, minor burns, fractures, sprains and strains, minor lacerations and other urgent medical concerns.
