Rep. Eric Burlison, who represents Missouri’s 7th district in the U.S. Congress, recently posted a series of statements on social media addressing his commitment to constituents and calls for government transparency.
On July 29, 2025, Burlison wrote, "Whether in Jefferson City or Washington, the job is the same: fight for the people of Southwest Missouri." Later that day, he added another message highlighting constituent services: "When federal agencies don’t listen, my office does. Grateful we were able to help David and his business finally resolve their IRS issues. If you're dealing with red tape in Washington, my team is here to fight for you."
On July 30, 2025, Burlison addressed concerns about government transparency and high-profile investigations: "Sunlight is the best disinfectant. My constituents want transparency, and that includes full disclosure of the Epstein files."
Burlison has served as U.S. Representative since 2023 after succeeding Billy Long. He previously held positions in both chambers of Missouri's state legislature from 2009 through early 2023. Born in Springfield in 1976 and now residing in Ozark, Burlison earned two degrees from Missouri State University by 2002.
