Rep. Eric Burlison, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Missouri’s 7th district since 2023, made a series of posts on July 28, 2025, expressing skepticism about media coverage and transparency in government.

In his first post at 18:45 UTC, Burlison stated, "The media helped hide the truth then, and they’re still playing their part now. How convenient."

Later that evening at 20:16 UTC, he wrote, "Attempts to conceal the truth always backfire. They fuel conspiracy theories, amplify false narratives, and erode public trust in our government."

At 20:49 UTC on the same day, Burlison posted another message referencing President Joe Biden: "I got attacked for suggesting they should jack Joe Biden up on Mountain Dew. Now it’s beyond obvious he wasn’t running the country. You’d need some serious Dew to jumpstart Joe."

Burlison has been active in Missouri politics for over a decade, having served in both the Missouri House of Representatives from 2009 to 2017 and the Missouri Senate from 2019 to 2023 before joining Congress.

He was born in Springfield in 1976 and resides in Ozark.

He holds two degrees from Missouri State University.
