Emily Long joins Willard Medical Center as new family nurse practitioner

Citizens Memorial Hospital and Willard Medical Center and Walk-In Clinic have announced the addition of Emily Long, DNP, FNP-BC, to their medical staff. Long will join existing providers Franco Aguilar, M.D., Katherine Davis, M.D., Bethany Dhondt, D.O., Magen Blades, PA-C, and Stephanie Breault, FNP-BC.

Long's role at the clinic will involve providing care to walk-in patients and treating a range of acute conditions. These include illnesses such as colds and flu, injuries like minor burns and fractures, allergies, coughs, sprains, strains, minor lacerations, and other urgent medical needs.

With over eight years of nursing experience and four years as a nurse practitioner under her belt, Long has previously worked in various healthcare settings. Her experience includes critical care roles at CoxHealth and Mercy Springfield in areas such as trauma and acute care surgery. Most recently, she specialized in pulmonology critical care.

Long completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Doctor of Nursing Practice (family nurse practitioner) at Missouri State University in Springfield. She holds certification from the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
