Eric Burlison, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Missouri’s 7th district, shared a series of tweets on June 16, 2025, discussing recent legislative actions and his stance on energy policy. A graduate of Missouri State University and former member of both the Missouri House of Representatives and Senate, Burlison has been active in national politics since replacing Billy Long in 2023.

Later that day, at 4:37 PM, Burlison commented on a financial decision made by Congress. He stated, "Last week's vote to clawback $9.4 billion in taxpayer dollars is a perfect example of what we can accomplish when we put the American people first instead of making political considerations for moderates in purple districts."

In another post at 7:44 PM, Burlison expressed his views on environmental subsidies and policies. He declared, "The American people gave a resounding NO to the Green New Scam." He urged the Senate to maintain or increase efforts in reducing such subsidies by stating, "The Senate must either hold the line or go even further in rolling back these absurd subsidies."

Eric Burlison was born in Springfield, Missouri in 1976 and currently resides in Ozark. His academic background includes two degrees from Missouri State University obtained in 2000 and 2002.
