Eric Burlison, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Missouri's 7th district, has shared a series of tweets expressing his views on political matters. Burlison, who replaced former U.S. Congress member Billy Long in 2023, has a history of public service including roles in the Missouri House of Representatives and the Missouri Senate.
On June 9, 2025, Burlison commented on remarks made by J.B. Pritzker. He stated: "J.B. Pritzker’s vile call to deny Republicans 'peace' and unleash 'disruptive mobilization' is just another Democrat lobbing verbal napalm to ignite chaos like the LA riots."
Later that day, Burlison expressed his hopes regarding fiscal policy changes in the Senate. He tweeted: "The hope is that the Senate will go even further on the spending cuts and Green Energy Scam rollbacks @freedomcaucus helped secure. Anything less won’t fly."
On June 10, 2025, Burlison addressed his fellow Republicans about a legislative package. He wrote: "This rescissions package is a gut-check for every Republican in Congress. The base won’t forgive another betrayal."
Burlison was born in Springfield, Missouri in 1976 and resides in Ozark. He holds degrees from Missouri State University.
