U.S. Senators Eric Schmitt of Missouri and John Cornyn of Texas have announced their plans to co-chair a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing. The focus of this hearing is to investigate who was in charge during President Joe Biden's cognitive decline while he was in office, as well as the alleged coverup by mainstream media.
Senator Schmitt expressed concerns over the past four years, stating, "For four years, when the American people saw Joe Biden, they saw someone who was clearly not capable of making major decisions for the nation. Yet those closest to the President and the mainstream media did everything they could to hide this truth." He emphasized the need to reveal how Biden's aides and family members might have acted as de-facto leaders during this period.
Senator Cornyn added his perspective on the matter, noting, "For this conspiracy between the mainstream media, Joe Biden’s family, and his inner circle to have hidden the impairment of the President of the United States for years, and lied consistently to the American people about his capacity to make decisions...is unacceptable." He highlighted that it is crucial for a president to possess mental capacity for their role.
The hearing is scheduled for June 18, 2025. It will be held in room 224 at the Dirksen Senate Office Building.
