Senator Schmitt recently appeared on Fox News' Faulkner Focus to discuss President Trump's immigration policies, emphasizing the administration's deportation plans. Schmitt highlighted the significant reduction in illegal border crossings, attributing it to the President's efforts.

"Every tool is being used now at the President’s disposal to make good on his campaign promise, to close the border and deport people who are here illegally," said Schmitt. He noted a "95 to 99 percent reduction in illegal border crossings" within 100 days of Trump's presidency. Schmitt criticized previous administrations for not enforcing existing laws and praised Trump for taking action against criminal elements.

Schmitt also addressed criticism regarding the use of the Alien Enemies Act. He argued that opponents are aiming for open borders and stressed that due process is being followed under Trump's leadership. "The Alien Enemies Act, the President has the authority to declare a predatory incursion," he stated, mentioning support from the Supreme Court.

Regarding Alcatraz Prison's reopening, Schmitt explained its role as a deterrent for criminals entering illegally. "Alcatraz means something," he said, asserting that punishment and deterrence are effective strategies under Trump’s law-and-order approach.

Schmitt concluded by contrasting current policies with those of past administrations and emphasized Trump's commitment to enforcing immigration laws effectively.
