Alecia Robinson has been appointed as the new administrator of Ash Grove Healthcare Facility. The veteran in healthcare administration is set to commence her role on May 12. During her transition, Robinson will work alongside the current administrator, Joshua Solomon, who plans to further his education to become a nurse.
Robinson, who brings over 27 years of experience in healthcare, has served for 11 years as a long-term care administrator. Her previous roles at Americare included leadership positions at senior living communities in Springfield such as Lakewood Assisted Living and Ravenwood Senior Living.
She holds degrees in journalism and agribusiness from College of the Ozarks. Her expertise spans hospice care, as well.
Commenting on Robinson's appointment, Tim Francka, administrative director of long-term care at Citizens Memorial Health Care Foundation, stated, "Alecia brings a wealth of experience, and we are excited to have her join our team. She is excited to be a healthcare leader in the community where she was born and raised."
Robinson shared her enthusiasm about the new role, saying, "I’m honored to join the team at Ash Grove Healthcare Facility. This is a full-circle moment for me. I was born and raised here, and it means so much to care for the people in this community."
Francka also acknowledged Solomon's noteworthy contributions. “I want to thank Josh Solomon for his leadership through the end of the pandemic and his success in building a strong team,” he said, adding that due to Solomon’s leadership, “the facility no longer relies on agency staffing.”
Robinson will officially assume her responsibilities on June 9.
Ash Grove Healthcare Facility is an 82-bed skilled-nursing facility known for its memory care unit and rehabilitation services. It's owned by Citizens Memorial Health Care Foundation, situated in Bolivar.
