Senator Eric Schmitt has extended his congratulations to Missouri athletes set to represent the United States in the 2024 Paris Paralympic Games. In a letter addressed to these athletes, Senator Schmitt expressed his pride and support.

“The Paralympic Games are a great chance for us to show off the best that Missouri has to offer, and it makes me incredibly proud to know that three talented Missourians will be competing in the 2024 Paris Paralympic Games. Each athlete, as well as their family, friends, and community should feel an overwhelming sense of pride and accomplishment in the honor of representing not only Missouri but also America on the world stage. I wish them all the very best in the 2024 Paris Paralympic Games,” said Senator Eric Schmitt.

The following athletes from Missouri will be participating in this year's games:

- Colleen Young from St. Louis, competing in Women’s Para Swimming

- Rachel Watts from St. Joseph, competing in Women’s Paratriathlon

- Spencer Seggebruch from St. Louis, competing in Men’s Para Cycling
