Job Posting: Soil and Water Conservation Administrative Support

The Greene, Webster, Polk and Dallas Field Office Service Area is seeking to fill a full time District Administrative Support/District Specialist Position. The position will split time between USDA Field Offices in Marshfield, Bolivar, Springfield and Buffalo as needed. Vehicle will be provided for travel between offices. Applicant must have a minimum of a high school diploma or GED. College degree is preferred; however not required. Job duties will include working with the Soil and Water Conservation District and the Natural Resources Conservation Service assisting landowners with state and federal farm programs. Strong computer skills, data entry skills and good public relations skills are required. Attention to detail is very important. Strong verbal and written communication skills are a must. The physical capability to cover rough terrain in all types of weather conditions are required. Farm background would be an asset. Experience with using GPS equipment, measuring wheels, tape measures, and digital camera is preferred but will train the right applicant as needed. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to work is essential. This is a full time position with paid holidays, annual/sick leave and health/retirement benefits.
