City of Bolivar, Missouri - Those Visiting Dunnegan Memorial Park May Notice an Unpleasant Phenomenon This Week

Those visiting Dunnegan Memorial Park may notice an unpleasant phenomenon this week.

The lake at the park experienced a “fish kill,” an event which results in the loss of aquatic life typically due to fluctuations in the natural environment.

Our public works department has contacted the Missouri Department of Conservation to assess the situation and conduct further testing.

Liberty Utilities is also working to feed fresh water into the park’s lake to help improve the water quality and speed up the lake’s restoration.

Thanks for your patience as we work through this process. Anyone with questions can contact Bolivar City Hall at 417-326-2489.

May be an image of tree, outdoors and text that says 'DUNNEGAN MEMORIAL PARK 801 DO NOT ENTER EXIT ONLY ENTRANCE ENTRANCE'
