70 percent of applicants to Southwest Baptist University were admitted for fall 2018

At Southwest Baptist University, 80 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 64 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Bolivar enrolled 3,357 students in fall 2018, including 2,664 in undergraduate and 693 in graduate programs, data shows. 8 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

68 percent of undergraduates are residents of Missouri, and 24 percent are residents of other states. 1 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (68 percent) and Black or African American (4 percent).

The school admitted 70 percent of the 2,064 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 31 percent enrolled.
