The US Economic Development Administration awarded Missouri State University a grant worth $2,500,000 to help fund a project in Greene County.

The grant was awarded on Aug. 27, 2019. The EDA describes the grant as follows:

"This EDA investment funds the expansion of the eFactory Incubator at Missouri State University in Green County, Missouri. The renovations include creating technology commercialization infrastructure to provide new industrial innovation and workforce development within a designated Opportunity Zone. Once completed, the project will assist the community by developing new job opportunities to diversify and strengthen the regional economy."
