Rep. Eric Burlison, a U.S. Congressman representing Missouri’s 7th district, posted a series of updates on September 5, 2025, addressing upcoming congressional hearings, his podcast appearance, and concerns about public safety in Washington, D.C.

In one post on September 5, Burlison wrote: "Never a dull moment on @GOPoversight. UAP hearing set for Tuesday 9/9. Let’s see what shakes out." The announcement signals an upcoming congressional hearing on Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP), drawing attention to ongoing government inquiries into the subject.

Later that day, Burlison shared news of his media appearance: "Great to join @RepHageman on @RepublicanStudy 'Right To The Point' podcast. Full episode: https://t.co/eop64Yp5VL"

He also commented on safety issues in the nation’s capital: "The one place every U.S. citizen should be able to go and feel safe is the nation’s capital. It’s absurd that we ever let it get to this point."

Burlison has represented Missouri's 7th District in Congress since 2023 after succeeding Billy Long. Before joining Congress, he served in the Missouri House of Representatives from 2009 to 2017 and the Missouri Senate from 2019 to 2023. Born in Springfield in 1976 and residing in Ozark, Burlison graduated twice from Missouri State University with degrees completed in 2000 and 2002.
