Rep. Eric Burlison, a U.S. Congressman representing Missouri’s 7th district since 2023, recently posted several statements on his social media account criticizing Democratic Party policies and promoting his legislative initiatives.
On November 5, 2025, Burlison expressed strong opinions about the Democratic Party's direction in a tweet: "Sympathizing with Hamas, laughing at political violence, pushing drag queen story hour, and now electing a self-proclaimed socialist. Only a matter of time before the dems openly admit that their sole agenda is the destruction of America."
Later that day, he commented on fiscal policy and federal debt limits: "The founders never intended for Washington to write its own credit limit. My Balanced Budget Amendment puts the states and the people back in charge." This statement references his support for amending the Constitution to require a balanced federal budget.
In another post from November 5, Burlison praised fellow politician Dan Bishop: "Great news. Dan Bishop is a patriot."
Burlison has served in Congress since replacing Billy Long in 2023 and previously held seats in both chambers of the Missouri legislature from 2009 through early 2023. Born in Springfield, Missouri in 1976 and currently residing in Ozark, Burlison holds two degrees from Missouri State University.
