Missouri State University football players Jacob Clark and Thomas Anderson have been recognized by Conference USA as Players of the Week following their performances in the Bears' recent win over New Mexico State.

Quarterback Jacob Clark, from Rockwall, Texas, was named CUSA Offensive Player of the Week. Returning from injury, Clark threw for 283 yards and three touchdowns, helping Missouri State secure an overtime victory on the road. With a game-winning 7-yard touchdown pass to Ronnel Johnson in overtime, Clark tied the school record for career touchdown passes at 47. In his 22nd career start, he also surpassed 6,000 passing yards and total offense yards, as well as more than 100 career scoring drives. This is his sixth conference player of the week honor but his first in Conference USA.

Cornerback Thomas Anderson, from Kansas City, Kansas, earned CUSA Defensive Player of the Week honors after posting a career-high 11 tackles against New Mexico State. Ten of those were solo stops. Anderson's interception late in the second quarter at the MSU 5-yard line ended a New Mexico State drive and kept the score tied at halftime. The play was featured as No. 3 on ESPN SportsCenter's Top 10 plays that night. Anderson is only the second Missouri State player this season to record double-digit tackles in a single game.

Other Conference USA weekly honorees include Koron Hayward (Special Teams Player of the Week) and Rodney Tisdale Jr. (Freshman of the Week) from WKU, along with JaDarious Lee (Offensive Lineman of the Week) from Kennesaw State.

Missouri State will conclude October with a home game against Florida International University on Wednesday at Robert W. Plaster Stadium. The game is scheduled for 7 p.m., will be broadcast nationally on CBS Sports Network, and features special Ag Day events including a drone show and concession promotions.

Tickets are available online at MissouriStateBears.com or at the Athletics Box Office at Great Southern Bank Arena during regular hours until Wednesday.
