Rep. Eric Burlison, U.S. Congressman representing Missouri’s 7th district since 2023, has recently posted a series of statements on his official social media account addressing government policy, political opposition, and former President Donald Trump’s stated aspirations.

On October 11, 2025, Burlison criticized government communication practices, writing: "Taxpayer-funded propaganda. Domestic manipulation. Obama's Smith-Mundt Modernization Act broke the firewall protecting our minds. @NewsBowne Special Report https://t.co/9SdeSECZHY".

Two days later, on October 13, 2025, Burlison shared a statement from former President Donald Trump: '"As president, my highest aspiration is to bring peace and stability to the world.” - President Donald J. Trump https://t.co/XAL7MBeb3e'.

Later that same day, Burlison commented on congressional budget negotiations: "Only Democrats would shut down the government and try to “fix” Obamacare through a spending bill. Once it reopens, we can finally deliver real reform with free-market solutions. https://t.co/LPyXv8Xmjh".

Burlison, who was born in Springfield, Missouri in 1976 and currently resides in Ozark, previously served in both the Missouri House of Representatives (2009-2017) and the Missouri Senate (2019-2023). He succeeded Billy Long in representing Missouri’s 7th district in Congress beginning in 2023. Burlison is a graduate of Missouri State University with degrees earned in 2000 and 2002.
