Missouri State University's women's tennis team hosted the MoState Invitational, a two-day tournament held at the Cooper Tennis Complex in Springfield. The event featured players from Southeast Missouri State, Kansas City, Lindenwood, and Missouri State competing in singles and doubles matches across three groups.

During the first day of play, freshmen Leni Eichner and Matilde Ercoli secured a 6-0 doubles win over Lindenwood's Michelle Trochez and Sofia Dunisijevic. Team captain Lucy Latham won her singles match against Maja Bajorek of Southeast Missouri State with scores of 7-5, 3-6, 10-6. Eichner also earned a singles victory by defeating SEMO's Yontha Tadoum 6-3, 6-1.

On the second day, Latham teamed up with senior co-captain Billur Gonlusen to defeat Kansas City's Alise Reznik and Michela Xibilia in doubles play. Latham continued her success with a singles win over Lindenwood's Fabiana Labrador (6-2, 6-3). Gonlusen achieved two singles victories: she beat Michelle Trochez of Lindenwood 6-4, 6-4 and then won a close match against Kansas City's Luciana Braga (7-5, 5-7, 10-8).

Other notable results included Ercoli winning against Paola Garcia of Lindenwood (6-2, 6-1), while senior Lola Federski triumphed over Kansas City's Adella Castaner with scores of 4-6, 6-2, 10-5. Ercoli rounded out the Bears' wins by defeating KC's Alise Reznik (6-1, 6-3).

The Missouri State women's tennis team is scheduled to compete next at the ITA Regionals in Norman, Oklahoma beginning October 16 at 8:00 a.m.
