Rep. Eric Burlison, who represents Missouri’s 7th district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of tweets on September 26, 2025, addressing concerns about free speech and government transparency.

In one post from that day, Burlison stated: "The willful suppression of speech, debate, and the pursuit of truth is far more dangerous, subversive, and 'hateful' than any charge Democrats have ever levied against us. Read my latest op-ed in @theblaze https://t.co/CkEDDkJnRI" (September 26, 2025).

He also referenced FBI Director Christopher Wray’s testimony before Congress regarding the events of January 6th. In another tweet posted later that day, Burlison wrote: "Flashback: Christopher Wray performs a stunning feat of mental gymnastics to avoid telling Congress the truth about J6. https://t.co/INqPG3hBsb https://t.co/Qj1lLXizNg" (September 26, 2025).

Burlison’s comments were accompanied by links to further content and previous media appearances. His posts reflect ongoing debates within Congress about freedom of expression and accountability for federal officials.

Eric Burlison has represented Missouri's 7th District in the U.S. House since replacing Billy Long in 2023. Before his current role in Congress, he served in the Missouri House of Representatives from 2009 to 2017 and in the Missouri Senate from 2019 to 2023. Born in Springfield in 1976 and currently residing in Ozark, Burlison holds two degrees from Missouri State University.
